Name Pronunciation: Several names are Turkish/Arabic/etc in origin and are spelled according to Turkish conventions. You can google any of these names for audio pronunciations, but as a very quick/rough guide:

• ‘c’ pronounced like English ‘j’ (as in ‘jay’)
• ‘ay’ pronounced like English word ‘eye’
• ‘ş’ pronounced like English ‘sh’ (as in ‘shy’)
• ‘ç’ pronounced like English ‘ch’ (as in ‘chair’)

Cemil = Jamil, Nuray = Nu-RYE, Bayram = BYE-ram, Şebyan = Shebyan, and so forth
